The hike to Cape Flattery offers an adventure through a forest, across a boardwalk, and out to a viewpoint with views of turquoise blue water crashing against the rocky cliffs of the Olympic Peninsula!

Did you know that Cape Flattery is the northwesternmost point in the continental United States? This is the place where the Straight of Juan de Fuca collides with the Pacific, creating strong currents and loud crashing waves.

This short and accessible hike leads you through a forest to an unforgettably beautiful viewpoint of sea stacks, turquoise water, and ocean as far as the eye can see! Watch for sea lions and whales, too!

Our favorite place to stop on our way back from Cape Flattery to the Seattle area is the By the Bay Cafe for ice cream! They are located at 343 Front Street, Sekiu, WA.

Went during December after the rain didn't allow us to stay for very long at Shi Shi Beach. Multiple look-offs and a well maintained boardwalk make this very easy and very enjoyable.

Great views from the lookout points. Driving here is the biggest challenge since because its the most NW point in the US, you really have to set this as a destination. The boardwalk through the forest to the lookout points is quite impressive. We spent about 15 minutes taking in the views so all-in-all its less than a one hour excursion.
