From Port Angeles, Washington, drive west 55 miles on highway 101. Just before Forks, turn right onto SR-110 west for 7.7 miles. At the fork, turn right onto Mora road to Rialto beach at the end of the road.

From the parking lot, head north on the beach from the picnic area and take in the views! To the south, see forested Little James and James islands, numerous sea stacks, and waves crashing along the shore. As you hike on the beach you will cross sand, rocks, and driftwood.

Sea lions, otters near the shore, and eagles can often be seen hanging around Rialto Beach. Keep an eye out for whales while you're there too!

At the one mile mark, cross Ellen Creek and continue north to Hole-in-the-wall. If the tide is out you can scramble right through the rocky arch and explore tide pools filled with sea stars and other creatures! If the tide is in, hike above on the trail then back down to the beach. We chose to hike above the trail to see the amazing views of the coast above the beach.
