The Shenandoah University River campus has a great winding walking path along the Shenandoah River. Theres plenty of room to park and even a large picnic area for having a bite to eat after your adventure. During the spring and summer months, tons of wildflowers line the trails, so bring along a camera or just take it all in.

Don't make the mistake of forgetting to bring a telephoto lens! There are great opportunities to get up-close photos of bald eagles that nest in the area.
