- Scrambling on slick rock- no established trail
- Fun for the whole family
- Amazing scenery
- Easily accessible
- Nearby restrooms and picnic areas to hang out after the adventure
Snow canyon is only 15 minutes from St George, Utah and has so many neat areas to explore. A favorite of mine is to climb around on the petrified dunes. These are located in the middle of the park right off of the road. There is a trail leading from the parking lot for about 1000 feet to the dunes. Once you reach the dunes, there is no established trail; which leaves you free to wander wherever you want to go.
This area is perfect for those who like to scramble across slick rock. There is not much exposure and therefore this area is great for the entire family. It rarely snows here (despite the name) so it is accessible year round.
- Lunch if you want to take advantage of the picnic tables

Hike the Arizona Trail: Buckskin Mountain Passage from Stateline Campground
Utah / Stateline Campground, Utah
Depending how you approach this 800 mile trail, I did the first 4 miles or last 4 miles as an out and back from Stateline Campground on the Utah/Arizona state line and the border of Vermil.
Hike to the Klondike Bluff Dinosaur Track
Utah / Klondike Bluff Road, Moab
I think these tracks are the best in Moab. Take route 191 north out of Moab for about 13 miles (mile post 142). Klondike Bluff road is on the right. If you pass the airport, you went too far.
