The guided horseback tours through Bryce Canyon are truly an unforgettable experience complete with jaw-dropping drop offs and awe-inspiring views!

Book your horseback adventure through Canyon Trail Rides and you'll have two options:

2 hour ride to the floor of the canyon
3 hour ride for a full tour of the canyon

The tours meet at the Lodge at Bryce Canyon: the only lodging available at the park. Tour pricing does not include the $30 admission fee to enter the national park so I suggest planning a full day trip (or staying to camp!) in order to make it worthwhile.

Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early for your scheduled tour time because the guides do not wait for latecomers and the fees are non-refundable. Check in with the cowboy concierge and then head down the paved trail to the meeting area. You will be paired up with a horse/mule and guide. For safety purposes, groups do not exceed 10 riders.

Both tours begin at Sunrise Point and travel downward into the canyon maneuvering switchbacks amidst wondrous rock formations. The half day tour goes on to complete the Peek-a-Boo loop trail for a full tour of the canyon. Both tours will pass famous hoodoos and landmarks such as the Wall of Windows and Fairy Castle.

Even for true daredevils, your proximity to various cliff sides during the descent is hair-raising. However, the middle of the path is far too slippery for hooves so trust your horse, take a deep breath, and admire the breathtaking structures of the canyon.
