Drive the Moki Dugway
Mexican Hat, Utah
Description
Added by Alex Thompson
Drive 1,200 feet up this winding set of dirt road switchbacks and take in a scenic red rock view
This switchback section of Utah State Route 261 is located northwest of Mexican Hat and winds its way straight up the cliffs and onto the plateau above. Due to the tight turns and poor quality road material, RVs and other large vehicles are not recommended on this section of road. The road grade surpasses 10% and makes for a driving adventure for those who are not afraid of heights.
