Kanarra Falls is an intermediate to advanced 3.6-mile roundtrip hike. There is some scrambling involved, climbing up at least two waterfalls.

Kanarra Falls is a gem of a hike that takes you into the Kanarraville slot canyons in southern Utah and the infamous Kanarra Falls. After hiking half a mile or so from the parking lot on a fairly open trail the canyon slots up. This is where the fun begins. Here you will have to walk through the water into the slot canyon, following the water upstream the rest of the way. After another half mile, you will be treated to one of the coolest 15-foot waterfalls you will ever see. You will have to climb up a tree trunk/ladder to the right before you reach another waterfall. Scramble up the canyon to the right to keep going for more cascading falls. You can keep going as far as you like as the canyon opens up or turn around and follow the same route back to the parking lot.

This canyon is located in the town of Kanarraville, north of Kolob Canyon, Utah. GPS Kanarraville, Utah, then as you drive into the downtown on Old US Hwy 91 (which becomes Main Street), look for E 100 N St and drive east three blocks until you reach the gated dirt road that heads up into the hills. Park in the lot to the left ( GPS 345 E 100 N St. Kanarraville, UT 84742)

Kanarra Falls via Kanarraville Slot Canyon Reviews

Came up here for the day, be prepared to get wet! Awesome slot canyon!

This is a very fun day hike. If you are fit, can easily do in an afternoon. When I went there were lots of families and I honestly don't know how some of those kids scrambled up those wet logs and rocks - dads must have been doing extra piggyback work. If you are willing to walk .25-.5 mile extra just park in town for free. The parking lot at the trailhead is run by the town, so don't think your money is going to BLM or any national parks.

Hi there. i will be checking this place out very soon. any tips for a beginer? :)
