Distance: 3.5 miles roundtripBeautiful photogenic waterfalls
Knarra Falls is a 3.5 mile roundtrip moderate hike. You will be climbing up and down, and crossing the stream, since the trail follows the stream. The canyon will eventually close in towards the end, and you have no choice but to wade in the water to reach the falls. Don’t turn back because of this, it is worth it to see at least the first waterfall. You can get to the second waterfall by climbing the ladder. Climbing up is easier than climbing down. There is also a rope provided.
There is a $10 fee to pay in the parking lot (the sheriff lives within walking distance, so I’d suggest you pay).
Directions: Take 15 north out of St. George to exit 42 Knarraville. You’ll turn right off the exit, then a quick left on old US 91. Follow this to town (be careful of livestock roaming the roads), and you’ll see a sign on the right to turn right, should be on E 100 St N.
