Saratoga Springs, Utah

Relax in the Saratoga Hot Springs

Originally added by Eric Bennett

The Saratoga Hot Springs, located just off the northwest side of Utah Lake is a perfectly heated hot springs. The hot springs have easy parking and are open all year round.

Awesome all year round, but one of the best places to chill out during winter. The water is just hot enough to feel amazing and escape from the cold. This place is public and not supervised. It does close from 10pm-6am and police have been known to pass by and enforce it.

Pulling in to the parking lot, just take the first pathway which goes out past the bathrooms. Follow it for about 10 minutes and you will see the pool on the left. It's really easy to access and the hike is a quick walk. This is an awesome place to take a date or to recover after a long day of hiking. You can hang out here for hours; the water is less smelly than most hot springs and it doesn't get too crowded. Weekends do tend to get more crowded than weekdays.

You can get some awesome views of the sunset as well. If you go in the winter, make sure you take a backpack to keep all your stuff in. It's also a good to have a tarp to lay your stuff on because it can get very muddy around hot springs.

Stinky

It stinks, and is super mucky and gross! I would rather hike to the diamond fork hot springs

Fun for a quick trip. For more scenery, visit the Fifth Water Hot Springs.

We went with a group during the day. The hot springs are a short walk from the parking lot and are quite easy to find. While I didn't think the springs were the most beautiful I'd ever been too, it is nice that they are quite easily accessible. It would be cool to go back at night to stargaze while there. The springs are pretty shallow as well.

Cool Adventure

Really cool place. Warm water and cool people. The water doesn't even smell bad!!! At the deepest point the water is only about belly deep on a 6 foot man, so don't expect to swim but it's a great place to chill with friends meet new friends. Don't stay past 10:00!!!!!
