Drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon for 4.4 miles until you reach Mill B South Fork Picnic Grounds. There is parking that winds around the road if the lot is full.

The hike is 7. 4 miles round trip and takes around 2 hours to hike up it, with a return hike time of 1.5 hours. The hike is not easy but it is also not extremely demanding. With the Utah heat, water breaks were a common occurrence. Once you've reached the lake, you can walk the loop where you'll find a waterfall as well as another lake, Lake Florence.

The flies were bad when we went (June) but the lake was everything and more. Also, pack the hammock as there are some sweet spots around the lake!
