Stayed here 9/1-5/2022 in a 39ft 5er. Now being part of UtahRaptor State Park there is an entrance/camping fee. According to either the entrance board or online portal, there is a two-night maximum. So, we paid for 2 nights then paid for 2 more. Stayed in the site just before the large area with paybox/pole. Surprisingly, only a few others came past us over the Labor Day weekend. Daytime temps were over 100F so our A/C was unable to keep up, even running all day. figured it cost us almost as much per day in generator gas as it would to stay in an RV park, but they were all full. With a 2wd DRW, we didn't venture past the creek bed, so we didn't explore other possible sites. Roads are so rough we took the first available spot to minimize wear & tear on our 5er. Convenient spot for exploring Arches, Canyonland and Dead Horse SP. Could see the "Windows" on the horizon from our site and several mornings were graced to watch a hot air balloon rise up and float over the valley. We'd stay here again, but would pick a cooler time of year to do it.

This campground goes on forever!! You will always be able to find a campsite here, even when the rest of the campgrounds are full. Not to mention, the view of the stars here is spectacular! There may be fire rings here but we didn’t see any. Next time we’re bringing a propane fire or our own ring (fire restrictions out here are common).

Everything in the description is totally accurate (except there are indeed fire rings). Ive never seen the stars so bright in my life. And this place being ABSOLUTELY FREE makes it even better.
