Description

• You can see so much without even having to leave the car!• The hikes are short, easy, and incredible• Restrooms and dinkable water faucets

The Kolob Canyons is a section of Zion National Park (the northwest corner) located at Exit 40 on Interstate 15, 40 miles north of Zion Canyon and 17 miles south of Cedar City. The five-mile scenic drive along the Kolob Canyons Road allows for visitors to "see-it-all" as it winds through the canyon with stops at trailheads. The Kolob Canyons are narrow box canyons cut into the western edge of the Colorado Plateau, which results in interesting landscape. All visitors must stop at the Kolob Canyons Visitor Center to the entrance fee, which can be a hastle when it's buisy. However, this section of Zion is the least buisy (as 90% of guests visit the south end) and is great for getting away from the crowds. In addition, the Timber Creek Overlook Trail is one of my favorite trails in the Canyons because it is easy to access and allows for the best view of the Kolob Canyons.

Kolob Canyons is a great park to visit because of it's stunning yet easy trails and it's exquisite landscape.
