The trail is 38 miles long and is moderately trafficked. The trail is predominately used for scenic driving, and is accessible year-round. Enchanted Rock is definitely the highlight of this route!

The Longhorn Cavern State Park is a hidden gem in the Hill Country. The caverns are breathtaking and some of the walls are completely covered in Quartz. During prohibition, bootleggers used the caverns as a speakeasy and there are remnants left from that era. In order to view the Caverns you must purchase a ticket for the guided tour. The trail is a loop which goes past a lake! Bring a lunch, hang out, and swim for a while. There are bathrooms along the trail.  The park is 18 miles north of Fredericksburg on Ranch Road 965, or from Llano, take State Highway 16 for 14 miles south and then go west on Ranch Road 965.

There isn't an official trail to Turkey Peak, but it is one of the best views in the park. This is no easy climb, so be prepared to be sweating! From the parking lot head towards the Gazebo. Enchanted Rock Summit Trail is an out-and-back hike that offers expansive views in Hill Country from the 1823ft summit of Enchanted Rock located near Llano, TX. Keep in mind that this trail can get crowded on holidays and weekends. The park closes to visitors if it's overcrowded, so be sure to make reservations for your visit. 

Once inside the park, you can't miss either parking lots that are surrounded by picnic tables and well marked signs pointing towards the trails.
