Itinerary

Start Lima; afternoon visit to water fountain park

Morning Lima city tour; afternoon fly to Chiclayo

Transfer to Chaparri lodge in the dry forests of Lambayeque, northern Peru

Full day exploring the Chaparri Reserve in search of wildlife including Spectacled bears

Transfer back to Chiclayo; fly to Cuzco via Lima

Morning orientation tour (on foot) followed by the chance to learn to make chocolate!  Afternoon free for optional activities or to explore Cuzco

Morning art workshop; afternoon free for optional activities such as paddle-boarding, mountain biking or zip-lining in the Sacred Valley

Sacred Valley tour including visit to an alpaca/llama farm; afternoon to Aguas Calientes

Venture into dry forests of northern Peru and spend two days exploring Chaparri - the site of Peru’s first wildlife rescue centre designed specifically for Spectacled Bears. The ancient Inca capital of Cuzco is brimming with Spanish churches and Inca fortresses just waiting to be explored – here we enjoy a chocolate making class and an art workshop before exploring the Sacred Valley and visiting an alpaca farm. Finally, visit Machu Picchu - one of the architectural and engineering marvels of the ancient world, made all the more dramatic by its mountain backdrop of staggering immensity.
