Highlights:

  • Trek along the Hoh River deep into this magnificent forest of giant hemlocks, cedar, spruce, fir and maple
  • Explore Washington’s wild wilderness coast, with pounding surf, wide beaches, needle-like stacks of rock, and abundant marine wildlife
  • Hike above Sol Duc to Sol Duc Falls and beyond to the Bogachiel Trail where mighty Mt. Olympus dominates the southern horizon
  • Walk along the mighty Elwha, occasionally climbing well above the boiling river as it plunges dramatically to the Pacific
  • Explore the tide pools and fascinating rock formations along the beach
  • Hike above the trees from Hurricane Ridge to Hurricane Hill, with its sweeping views of the snow-clad peaks of the Bailey Range

Day-to-Day

Day 1 (5 miles): Meet in in Seattle, shuttle to Kalaloch and hike the beach and tide pools at Kalaloch

Day 2 (9 miles):  Hoh Rain Forest: overnight in Kalaloch

Day 3 (6 miles):  Ozette Lake; overnight at Sol duc Resort

Day 4 (10 miles): Sol Duc Falls, Bogachiel drainage, High Divide, overnight at Sol Duc Resort

Day 5 (7 miles): Whiskey Bend, Elwha Valley, Rica Canyon, Hume’s Ranch, overnight at Port Angeles

Day 6 (6 miles): Hurrican Ridge, Hurricane Hill, Klahhane Ridge and shuttle back to Seattle
