Another bonus to the awesome landscape/views - see tons of spawning salmon in the creek at the start of the hike! We were able to see them in early November.

Always a treat, if you don't mind the winding roads (not great if you get carsick) and some company at the pull-offs, usually. But go for the lovely view!

Great little hike, with loads of falls and a steady uphill. Can't imagine a better commute to class (if you don't mind being a tad sweaty). Plus it's easy access - the trailhead is right next to a bus stop in town.

Quite a flat and easy walk in. The observation deck looks out on an awesome view w/lake, forest and mountains. A bit crowded on the tiny deck during peak fall, but still plenty room to enjoy. Good spot to bring a thermos, binoculars, maybe a book, and sit for a while.
