I've done this hike a couple times. I decided to try to trail run it the second time and it was great! The climb up is steep so I only ran parts, but once you're on the ridge the run to Hay Rock is very do-able. The only bummer about this hike is that you can still hear sirens on I-81 and the buzz of the electric lines. The views make up for it though! I only saw one person when I did it this last time.

I love this short hike! The huge oak is surrounded by a blackberry field. There's also some logs to sit on under the oak, making it a perfect place for a picnic!

It was a beautiful hike through a variety of terrains. However, make sure you pay attention to what level the river is at. When my group crossed it was up to my waist (I'm 5'8"). It was extremely challenging to cross and a lot of other parts of the trail was flooded out.

This is a great place to go if you're looking for a park to walk around in. There's a pond, creek and abandoned buildings. It's also located right across the street from Glade Rd. farm. You can stop by there on Fridays for a meal after a hike!
