Description

Added by Haley Bennett

This beautiful waterfall about 2 hours away from Nashville, Tennessee is totally worth the drive. It is a 1.6 mile moderately trafficked loop near the small town Rock Island, Tennessee.

Starting at a 351ft elevation, the rest of the trail remains pretty flat compared to the drive up. The waterfall trail is the very last one you will come across after entering the state park so make sure you look out for the last trail!

Once you arrive to the small parking lot, you will know when you're there because there is a hugmongus waterfall right in front of your car. As soon as you step out of your car, you're goning to have to yell at who ever you drove with to be able to talk to them. Getting down to the waterfall is a short walk, you don't even have to walk a quarter of the trail. There are some small openings between the trees where you can walk down to the water, which is surrounded by big rocks so watch your step. Be extremely careful near the water because as all of the warning signs before have shown that the currents are very dangerous and you cannot swim in the water. They aren't playing around, so when you're near the waterfall, make sure your party is always in eyes sight because the waterfall is even louder when you're right in front of it. But this view is a once in a life time expirence so you can just kick back and relax near the falls without walking half a mile.
