We stayed at Burlington Campground for a few nights and were able to do some of the shorter hikes in the area. This place is breathtaking!

Avenue of the Giants lives up to its name. Don't just drive through like a lazy ass, though. Pull off near a trailhead and hike. You can't get the same feel for the immense size of the trees unless you're surrounded by them. Also, watch out for Bigfoot. S/He lurks in the mist...

Avenue of the Giants is something you must do before you die. It has tens of thousands of old growth redwoods lining each side of the highway, and best of all, they are protected by Humboldt Redwoods State Park. You will see so many redwoods that you'll want to get out and stop every mile to take more photographs. Do it! It's worth it.
