Description

Added by R. Adam Prieto

Beautiful overlooks of Big Sur provide a unique view and experience while on the Central Coast. A perfect destination for those who want to get away from the crowds for some R&R with friends, love ones, or yourself. Back your bags and get ready to straight chill.

*DISCLAIMER: There isn't much hiking near these campgrounds. It's really just a great spot to get away for a few days.

This is a beautiful place with unique views of the Pacific Ocean and the HWY 1. A huge plus is that it's free to camp here and most campsites already have fire rings. Just a reminder to ONLY camp in the designated campsites and have fires ONLY in the designated fire rings.

You can get to these campsites by following the forest road off Nacimiento Road, which can be reached from the PCH (HWY 1). Our site had some amazing views as well as a beautiful oak right next to us. To reach the site from the North we turned left onto Nacimiento-Ferguson right after the Kirk Creek Campground and continued up this road for about 7 miles before we reached the first forest road, Plasket Ridge Road.
