Very easy walk (not much of a hike) and I found it better to follow the dirt road that runs parallel to the trail through the woods. It took me about 20 minutes to get to the stump house and coming back was maybe a ~300 foot elevation gain back up the hill. All in all, good payoff with very little effort. Recommended.
