It's about the people!

By: Philippe Roussin + Save to a List

I've always liked nature. Hiking became a thing in my life for many good reasons. Photography was one of them. I started doing explorations of the Adirondacks with a friend of mine to chase landscape, wildlife, etc. We discovered many beautiful places. Since the Adirondack region and the High peaks are at a 2 hours drive from my home, It's the one that I know the most. I've been to the green and white mountains, but not as much. After a couple of years doing it by sheer pleasure, I wanted to bring more people with me. So I went to Cascade Mountain with 4 other person. I have to say, we had a blast!

I realize that I'm much more of a ''team'' player than a loner. It's so fun to bring people with you to an activity you love and see the smile on others face. It's priceless and so fulfilling. So yes, hiking is about the air, the landscape, the nature, the view, etc. But that time the people made my day.

We want to acknowledge and thank the past, present, and future generations of all Native Nations and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands we travel, explore, and play on. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
