Night Photography at Sparks Lake

Bend, Oregon

Amazing star gazingCan see South Sister, Broken Top and Mt. BachelorCan get chilly at nightWater is shallow for the most part

Sparks Lake is debatably one of the most picture perfect places in central Oregon. With amazing views of Broken Top, South Sister and Mt. Bachelor what more could you ask for?

When it comes to taking night pictures here the chances of you seeing a beautifully lit star night are likely. You're gonna want to make sure you go there on a less crowded night, that way you won't have other campers affecting your photos.

Lastly is have fun with it, try new things or think of pictures that are uncommon. For example, I used glow sticks in my pics to illuminate the ground/water. The water is very shallow so you can walk around in it and play with pics in the middle of the water.

There is a fee where you park so make sure to bring some change and check the signs before you go any further.
