Description
Added by Dan Moe
Tumalo Falls is a family-friendly 1 mile roundtrip hike if you head only to the upper viewpoint.
The viewpoint is only footsteps from the parking area, and gives the best view of the 89-foot falls. A half mile trail leads visitors up to the upper viewpoint, right next to the falls. From there, Middle Tumalo Falls is around one and a quarter miles up the trail and Happy Valley is around three miles and a thousand feet up.
Along the way, there are a dozen or so smaller waterfalls and scenic pools. On the way back to the parking area, there is an unmarked (and very unofficial) trail that leads to the base of the falls, affording a chance to hike behind the falls themselves.

Reviews
Great views, you can even keep going on the trail to reach more falls. I went today (March 23rd) and it was really snowy. I'd recommend snowshoes if you plan on hiking past Tumalo. Also, the gate is closed so that adds about 4 miles on to your total hike. However, I would recommend checking this out.

The road is closed and everyone is "supposed" to hike the trail. Which means it is a bit crowded but well worth the hike.

If you're looking for a relaxing day with some friends, family, or even solo the freshness of Tumalo Falls is your place to be! Also you can find Bend's main watershed source just down a parallel trail to the river.
