Sandy beach. Beachside campground. Scenic trails. Whale watching.

Cape Lookout is a two-mile long peninsula that juts into the Pacific Ocean from Oregon's rugged coastline.

The park features more than 170 campsites, yurts, rustic cabins, and a day-use area, all located a short walk from the beach.

There are roughly 10 miles of trails ranging from easy to moderate. The 2.6 mile trail to the tip of the Cape is the most scenic and offers views of migrating whales in spring and fall.

Cape Lookout Reviews

Beautiful hike on the longest cape in all of Oregon. I would love to go back! It would be amazing to see whales!!

Camping here is a PNW MUST!!! Do it ASAP!!

This whole hike has amazing scenery! You can see awesome views of the ocean to one side and lush forest to the other. If you are a photographer, there are a couple of great views of the ocean worth snapping. We went in late march, and would definitely suggest bringing your boots as it can be quite muddy.
