Description

This is a beautiful 6.7 mile Hike in Idyllwild Ca a small town in the Inland Empire. Perfect for all seasons! Even better in the winter on a sunny but snow filled day. Beat the Big Bear traffic here. Stunning views of the Lilly rock and devils slide. Beautiful sea of trees and giant boulders.

This is a 6.7 mile hike out and back starting from Deer Springs trail right above Idyllwild town on the 243. You must get a hiking permit at the nature center in town. No dogs allowed. There is a nearly 2000 ft elevation gain. 4-5 hours depending on how fast you hike and how long you intend to stay at the top. when you park on the side of the 243 bring your permit with you, walk up the dirt path til you get to the fork and GO LEFT! make sure you see the sign i featured or else your going the wrong way and will hike half a mile back down to the HWY.
