For any mountain lovers living or visiting Oklahoma, this offers a fix. Either can drive to the top or walk up the road for a solid cardio workout.

My friend and I were looking to get a workout, and I had been itching to climb a mountain (which is hard to find in OK). My friend and I parked at the bottom of the entrance of the mountain and walked up along the road to the top. The road is narrow so must be aware of cars, but majority of the cars were going slowly and never felt in danger.

Along the way up there are multiple turnouts for either a break or for a photo opportunity. Once one reaches the top there is a big parking lot, which is easy to access.

Walking up the road took my friend and I about 45 mins and it was a 5 mile round trip. Definitely worth checking out and snapping a few photos.
