This popular hiking destination is about an hours drive from Asheville, NC. The hike to the upper Falls is around 3.5 miles.

This is a beautiful hike, but you should expect to see several people on the trail. The climb up to the falls is rated as being "moderately rough," and includes some obstacles. Pick a pretty day, make sure to read about the interesting history of the area on signs found in the parking area, and stop to cool down in the lower falls before heading out. If you're hungry, the nearby Pisgah Inn has a restaurant and accessible parking.
