Group site is perfect
Stayed at the group site a few times now. Each time for a camping bachelor mini party, and never got complaints about being loud. The gorge is a must. Jumping off the cliff was a great way to cool off on a hot day.

Greatness
To me, this stretch of coast is the most beautiful in the world. Given, I haven't seen the whole world, but, the magnitude of greatness that these cliffs hold have got to be matched by few.

Awesome glamping spot
My wife and I stayed in the Nest. We LOVED it. We definitely want to go back soon and book a yurt, or maybe the treehouse. Lounging in that pool on a hot day with that view was the best.

Best in the summer
In the summer, it will likely be warm enough out to brave the cold water. Last time I was here, there was a rope swing. Pack a lunch and hang out in the sun. Great day!

Great summer spot
We used to make it a point to visit Angora Lake every summer when we went to Lake Tahoe. Jumping the cliff was always the highlight that kept us coming. This last summer, I went for the first time in probably 10 years. I have to say, it was a lot easier jumping that cliff when I was a kid. The height must have gotten to me over the years because it took me a solid half hour to muster up the strength to jump this time. Regardless if you jump or not, this is a great lake with a stretch of beach, and on a hot day, this is the place to chill off.

Fun for beginners. Can be but crowded
This is more of a beginner spot. Some days it picks up and can be more critical for experienced surfers, but typically this wave is mellow and a fun wave to grab your longboard and head out. Most surf rules still apply, but folks are understanding that they are among newcomers. Don't be intimidated while trying to learn to surf here.
