Very minimal effort to reach this fire tower with amazing views of the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains. 

At the parking area there is a kiosk which offers a trail map.  The description here and trail I chose to follow from the parking lot was the Yellow trail.  The trails are well marked and easy to follow.

In a few minutes you will reach South Pond.  There is a small cabin and lean to located here.  The trail will continue to the right of the lean to.  Ascending gently within minutes you will soon pass by another lean to.  Shortly after you will reach the fire tower.

The fire tower is in good shape.  Views from the tower include the Hudson River, Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge and the Catskill Mountains.  

There are a few geocaches in the area as well if you enjoy finding them.

Pleasant walk in multi use area

It's a nice little area, fire tower has nice views for the minimal effort. Keep in mind this isn't state land so there can be various events and permissions given, and I believe the property can be hunted during certain times of the year so plan accordingly.
