An easy uphill climb to a fabulous view of the Champlain Valley and Split Rock Wildway (the wildlife corridor connecting Lake Champlain to Adirondack Mts).

Parking is along the side of road.  You will see a large trailhead sign.

The trail is fairly easy, and well defined. There are a few interpretive signs along the way, explaining the flora and fauna of this section of the Adirondacks. The summit has two rocky places to enjoy the expansive view of the Lake Champlain farmlands of Essex, the lake itself and into Vermont. An interpretive sign at the end of the trail explains the name of the trail.
