Beautiful Adirondack high peak region views with little effort!

The most popular parking is alongside Lord Road.  This trail system is perfect for all ages, and level of hikers.  There are 30 different trails of different abilities and lengths. Many trails are link up trails, joining other longer trails.

The trails were built for hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, horseback riding, skiing and snowmobiling. Along this trail network you will find a lean-to with outstanding views of the Giant Mountain Wilderness. There are several other viewing areas within the trail system that are quite rewarding. A sugarhouse and a small cabin are also found on the property.

Rebecca Nichols Explorer

I hike to push my limits both mentally and physically, take in the beauty of the great outdoors, and just to get away from it all. Every chance I get you will find me in the mountains, on a kayak or ending my day by the campfire!

My preference is to start this traverse on Rt 9 in New Russia and finish on Rt 73 at Chapel Pond.

Hike Hurricane Mountain

Keene, New York

Though there are a few approaches to this mountain, this is the most widely used. The trail is marked with red discs and easy to follow. At times you will cross small brooks and bog bridges.

Hike to Big Crow

Keene, New York

Park at the end of O'Toole Rd to begin this short hike. Note that in winter you would have to walk a little further as part of the road is seasonal.
