New York / Walkway Over the Hudson - Poughkeepsie Parking
There are two parking spots at each side of this bridge. The one noted here is the eastern side in Poughkeepsie. There is ample parking. There are also restrooms at the start.
Climb the Wilmington Slide

The described hike is a traverse in the Taylor Pond Wild Forest. Starting on Bonnie View Road you will start on the eastern portion of the Copper Kiln Pond Trail.
Visit the Vanderbilt Mansion

Once you are at the parking area you can choose to start the loop in either direction. I like the idea of leaving the Mansion for last so that is what I did.
