Longboard from Amsterdam to The Hague

This is a multi-day trip that you can easily turn it into your own adventure. The stops I made are suggestions, based on my skill level and energy. I took my longboard for doing this trip, but you can of course do the same trip on a bike / rollerblades / walking. 

So grab your favorite mean of transportation and follow me:

Day 1 Amsterdam - Zandvoort (30km)

I left Amsterdam after celebrating King's Day (highly recommended!) and started longboarding through the city until hitting the N200 road. There is a bike path separate from the road, so it is very safe but not the most scenic route. The last part of the route goes through a little forest - be aware of branches on the bike path tha tmight get caught in your wheels!

Day 2 Zandvoort - Oegstgeest (26km)

It's a nice and scenic route through the dunes along the beach. Depending on  weather conditions it can get a little windy, but there are a couple of scenic spots along the way for taking a break

Day 3 Oegstgeest - Scheveningen (22km)

The last part of the trip leads us through dunes until you hit Scheveningen, the beach town right next to the Hague. Enjoy the fresh breeze before you hit into The Hague.

By now you will have crossed canals, boarded along tulip fields, took plenty of windmill pictures and hopefully had a bunch of fresh stroopwaffles. If you can't get enough, there is the option to continue to Rotterdam (another 30km). 

There is a good network of public transportation across the Netherlands that makes it easy to hop on a bus or train whenever you don't want to push anymore.
