This hike was great, it gave me a solid workout. We went on a late Saturday morning, and it was so CROWDED! So many people hiking the trail and not too many hanging out on the lake until we returned from the hike in the afternoon. We hiked all the way around the lake, and I would definitely recommend bug repellent of some sort. It's also pretty hot still, but it is mid-July. We ended up hiking around the lake which proved to be a bit of a challenge in some places. We settled on some boulders on the north side. The views were gorgeous and we got a great workout on the trail. If you need to use the facilities, bring your own TP for the restrooms at Silver Lake where the trailhead begins.

This is one of my favorite short hikes! I love that I can take my dog on this trail, she loves it too! The views of the valley are absolutely breathtaking. I could spend all day on that rock looking down at the valley. It's a slight climb, but so worth it.

This is a really great hike, it's really easy and would be a good one to take kids on. It's pretty high elevation, but still wear some sunscreen. And take some bug spray, there are a lot of bugs around the lake.

I loved this Trail for a quick hike after work! It's somewhat steep, but only about a mile up. Parking is weird, the trailhead begins in a neighborhood, I parked at Silver Fork Lodge and went up from there which adds a few more steps to your hike!
