I've been all over the country and this was by far one of the most amazing hikes I've ever taken! Beautiful scenery, 3 lakes and a glacier make this hike an unforgettable experience!
Its about 11 miles round trip to the summit and back to the car and is located in the Many Glacier section of the park. You start off hiking past a Switchcurrent Lake followed immediately by Lake Josephine. The trail will split and you have the option to take a left heading down to Grinnel Lake or go right and head up to the glacier which is what we did. Once you start to gain in elevation (total elevation gain about 1700 feet) you'll get a breath taking view of the lake below. The trail wanders past a few little waterfalls that actually fall right on to the path. At the top is a glacial lake filled with lake the most amazing turquoise water. You can walk right up to the glacier and from there you can see a stunning view of the whole valley and all three of the lakes you past on the trek up. If you ever make it up to Glacier National Park I highly highly recommend getting on the trail. Enjoy your adventure!
