Mississippi isn't really know for its amazing hiking trails and mountainous terrain so when you find a place to hike you take advantage of it. Every once in a while you find a little gem that satisfies the soul. Wall Doxey Nature Trail does just that and is very convenient for people passing through the area. It also offers a 18 hole disc golf course with tons of space for camping and other outdoor activities. Enjoy!
Starting from the Ranger station walk North or South which will lead you to the parks nature trail. You'll hike pretty close to the lake the entire time through lots of hardwoods, flora and fauna native to the State of Mississippi. Elevation gain is very minimal but does offer some beautiful panoramic waterfront views. Wall Doxey is located in the Holly Springs National Forest 7 miles South of Holly Springs and approximately 24 miles North of Oxford home of the University of Mississippi and Ole Miss.
