Description

Scenic views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands with gorgeous blue waters that rival the Caribbean.

The Pyramid Point Hiking Trail is a 2.7 mile loop with an option to do a 1.2 mile out and back to the overlook.  The trail is relatively flat at the beginning but starts to climb through Beech-Maple forest to the bluff that overlooks Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands.  You will be walking through sand once you hit the overlook so plan accordingly.  There are signs all over that do not recommend descending the dune.  This will prevent erosion and a 2+ hour climb back up the dune.
