Just a quick but treacherous hike from the road and you are at the base of the falls. There are a couple different places to jump off, up to 45 feet. The water is very cold but very nice on a hot day. This is a great spot to spend the day and the only downside is the small availability of level ground to set up things like chairs

The hike up to Ropi Lake is only around 3 hours but expect 4 hours or more to make it all the way there. The trail is not much of a trail and is more climbing over boulders than hiking. Incredibly beautiful and well worth it but expect to do some climbing if you take the wrong path. Once you get to Ropi Lake you will not want to leave due to the sights of the valley and Pyramid Peak looming above.

Do not underestimate this hike on a hot day. There is little shade and plenty of elevation gain to get you panting. I went through about 3 liters of water on this hike so make sure to bring plenty. There are plenty of hare, chipmunks, deer and birds of prey to keep you interested, however I found the views on this hike are underwhelming compared to many. The waterfall dries up in the summer so I would avoid this hike if seeing the waterfall is the goal. Great workout but this hike was nothing incredibly special.
