Lk. McConnell Loop is by far the coolest trail in the Desolation Wilderness that not too many people know about. The trail is difficult but definitively worth while. It requires good navigational skills and endurance, but at the same time rewards the hiker with breathtaking views, solitude, and an opportunity to experience the wilderness in an intimate way.
