Description

This short, dog-friendly hike leads to the second tallest waterfall in Maryland. Once you get there, relax, enjoy, and weather permitting, cool off with a swim.
This 1.2 mile roundtrip hike leads to the second tallest waterfall in the state of Maryland. It is a short hike that's great for families and bringing the dog. In the warmer months, you can swim in the pool at the base of the waterfall. People have cliff jumped here, but exercise caution and do so at your own risk.
Getting Here: From Pylesville, head west on Pylesville Road for approximately 3 miles and you will enter the parking area at the park. The trailhead will be on the west side of the lot.

Hike to Kilgore Falls Reviews
It was ok, not that stuff to do. Kids and elderly people should be careful, sharp rocks all over the place.

The hike is short, but the falls are beautiful! I recommend going in the off season to avoid crowds.

This is one of my favorite spots during the warmer months. The hike itself is not challenging by any means, but the falls are a great place to swim, lay out in the sun, set up a hammock, or simply relax and be one with nature.
