Elowah Falls Oregon Hikes

By: Mariel Gabrielle Mendoza + Save to a List

My first ever hike to Oregon was gorgeous and simply magnificent.

It was refreshing to walk into this forrest of colorful trees and plants early in the morning. I honestly could not get over this sight.

My boyfriend and I took the trail up to Upper McCord Falls first. It was a fairly easy hike up. The view from the trail was stunning because you can see over everything.

It took about .5 - 1 mile before we saw the Falls. It was cute because we got to see the creek before the waterfalls. I was expecting something larger.

As we made our way down,  we saw that there was a trail at the bottom where we heard a stream, so my boyfriend and I decided find out what's down there.

Once we got closer, we heard another waterfall, and to our amazement it was the waterfall we have been waiting to see! It was beautiful and was surrounded by amazing rock formations and it felt as if we were covered by the mountains around us.

We want to acknowledge and thank the past, present, and future generations of all Native Nations and Indigenous Peoples whose ancestral lands we travel, explore, and play on. Always practice Leave No Trace ethics on your adventures and follow local regulations. Please explore responsibly!
