The sunrise hike to the summit of Cadillac gets crowded. Hiking to the summit of Mount Dorr provides the same awesome views but is way more private.
Door Mountain - Ladder Trail to Schiff Path and return via South Ridge Dorr Trail to Canon Brook Trail to Kane Path.
You start in the woods but quickly get out of the trees to the side of a stone face. Ladder Trial that zigzags up stonesteps and iron rungs to open ridge and forest. South Ridge leads you down the back side of Dorr and then back along the base of the mountain on Kane Path.
Definitely need headlamps if you're hiking at night for the sunrise.
