One of the most breathtaking sunsets I have ever seen was at Max Patch. Worth the haul up the gravel road.

After what seems like a forever-long drive on a gravel road you approach a parking lot. After an easy 25 minute walk (if that) you are at the falls! Love to come and enjoy the cool mist ❤️

There are multiple ways to enter the trail, but I entered from the parking area. It is pretty steep coming from this way but it only took about 30 minutes to reach the top. Scenic views of the French Broad at the top.
