Lots of beautiful arches along the hike towards Navajo Arch. Beautiful red sandstone rock formations. Relaxing in the shade during the walk was lovely.

The Brooklyn Bridge is a fantastic photography subject with Manhattan as a backdrop. The bridge is easy to get to and on.

I went to Uncle Bud's Hut, and it is a rewarding, remote, world-class hut in a winter wonderland of skiing and mountain scenery. Once at the hut, I enjoyed many group meals, read books, built a puzzle, and enjoyed the view.

Mt. Rubidoux is the perfect place for hikers looking for a shorter distance. I explored unique rock formations. The 2.7-mile Mt. Rubidoux Trail is a paved, moderate-incline path.

It was cool to see the archway formed by rocks towering over 30 feet high. Views of Eastern Plains and Boulder's famous Flatirons were great. The trail is slippery in the winter when there's ice.

I was rewarded for this 18 mile (round-trip) hike in Maroon Bells-Snowmass with a beautiful hot spring pool with incredible views.

It was cool to see what are probably the most famous mountains in all of Colorado. The iconic picture of the bells from Maroon lake is a must for any landscape photographer.

This short 1-mile loop is a tranquil getaway that features scenic views of all of Boulder and massive rock formations.

In my opinion, this is Colorado's most unique landscape. Hiking North America's tallest dunes was cool. We ran/rolled down the dunes. Go in the early morning to beat the heat and crowds.

I got great views of Horsetail Falls with this short hike. Even better, this quick hike gave me time to check out more waterfalls in the Gorge in the same trip.

I thought this adventure was great. I saw beautiful scenery from widespread Joshua trees to rocky, Mars-like terrain while camping away from the crowds and RV generators.

This hike was awesome! It took us 11 hours to complete, but we were taking our time and thoroughly enjoying every view. This hike gives a comprehensive experience of all the best spots in Boulder and the time flies by with all the beautiful views. At the end I was amazed by how far I had hiked!

I backcountry camped off the Boy Scout Trail and it was awesome! There were hardly any people around and the desert was quiet and peaceful as far as the eye could see. Since we got to choose exactly where we wanted to camp, it was my preferred way of camping compared to crowded campgrounds. We enjoyed the morning in the privacy of our camp.

A very fun adventure! This is a stand-out area in Washington. The views at the top of Old Snowy are really great for the hike, which is not very difficult to complete.

A very fun adventure! I did this trip as an overnight backpacking trip, and I camped about 2 miles from Goat Lake. It was a great way to go. There are many streams nearby to filter water from.

A very fun adventure! I was completely in awe at the deep, narrow cracks, passages, and sculptures of the Tranquility Cracks. Going there is unlike seeing photos of it. That being said, it is a great place to take photos with the city and Lion's Head in the background (on a clear day).

A very fun adventure! This hike offered spectacular views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head, as well as some of the city's most pristine beaches. I particularly liked watching the sunset from the Pipe Track.

This trek was one of my favorite I have ever done! Such an amazing and beautiful feature of South Africa. The hike up to the summit led to splendid views of the Cape and there was wildlife along the way. I'm so glad I visited Table Mountain while I was in Cape Town.

This is a great workout and probably the best view you can get in Boulder. It's really fun to go inside NCAR and learn something while you are at it!

Because this hike is choose-your-own-adventure, it is a great option for anyone with varied skill levels and time, and great in any weather. And you get to see the beautiful Flatirons!

This is a stunning destination with few people. The hike is not too difficult and the reward is great!

This is a perfect location to warm up on a snowy winter day...relax in the hot water and watch the beauty around you!

Wonderful views of Hobart from the top! Not too crowded when I went, and I saw almost nobody on the hike.

You can find yourself in the quiet beauty of the forest just miles outside the city. I hike for hours on this trail and never get bored!
