I loved everything about this experience. We took the Aspen Grove route & camped at Emerald Lake. My absolute favorite part was the climb to the summit where you got to do a little scrambling. It was incredibly windy and zero visibility at the top, but that just served to add to the adventure. We were dressed adequately, so it wasn't a problem, but I cringed each time I saw someone in a t-shirt and shorts. The wild flowers were beautiful & we made friends with a herd of mountain goats who were hanging out right outside of our tent! I want to go back & try out the Timpanooke trail next time.

Gorgeous, quick hike. Be forewarned though, if the summer road behind Alta is closed, you will have to hike to the trailhead, which is maybe about 2.5 miles?

I've done this hike over and over again, and it'll never get old. Love me some Moab.

Did this hike in late spring and ran into a LOT of snow, and the lake was still frozen which was REALLY cool looking. Need to go back & explore it again this summer =)

Best day hike in Zion by far! You look way down on Angel's Landing, which is pretty rad.

Beautiful & easy day hike - great for kids. Took my one year old and let her run around near the falls. Love that you can take dogs!

Such an incredible experience! Did it top down and camped overnight at campsite 12. It was definitely very challenging but beyond worth it. I rented the 5.10 canyoneering shoes from Zion Adventure Center - they look mega lame but were soooo worthwhile. They grip anything! Would do this hike a million more times. Hoping to do it top down in one day next time.

Have done this hike many times in all seasons! Never gets old <3

One of the coolest, most unique day hikes I've ever done. Would do it again and again! Love Zion. <3
