New Orleans Kayak Swamp Tours
New Orleans, Louisiana
Description
Added by David Rack
It is national geographic beauty out in the swamps with not only the animals, but also the scenic backdrop.
Located just 30 minutes outside of the city, Manchac swamp is a great place to adventure to and explore with a kayak. There arn't any local places that rent kayaks, but you can take a tour with a few different companies; http://www.admirenola.com http://www.HiddenAdventureTour... or http://www.NewOrleansKayakSwam... .
The location is highly protected from the wind, so there won't be any waves and don't worry about. Spring and fall are my favorite times to venture out there. Winter is still and beautiful, summer is hot and muggy, and fall can be rainy. There are a lot of possible ways to venture when you get out there, just make sure to follow the same way back.
