Parker Mesa Overlook via Paseo Miramar is a ~5.3-mile hike to panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles, California. Plan for a few hours to complete the hike and enjoy the view.

This 5.4-mile out-and back trail takes off from the end of the residential area of Paseo Miramar. Once you hike a little less than a quarter mile in, you'll connect with Los Liones Canyon Trail. Continue on Paseo Miramar Trail, which in another 2.5 miles, will connect you with the Parker Mesa Overview. If you're looking for a bit of a longer hike, head to the Los Liones Canyon Trailhead On Los Liones Drive from Paseo Miramar. This hike will add another 2 miles to your distance.

Once you reach the overlook, you'll be up about 1,500 feet. Take in the views of Pacific. On a clear day, you may be able to see out to Catalina and the Channel Islands. If you decide to hike up there late in the day for the sunset, remember to bring your headlamp for the hike back to the car.

After you make it back to the car, head to Palisades Garden Cafe for a quick bite.

Parker Mesa Overlook via Paseo Miramar Reviews

It was a good hike. I'm training for a long hike so this was good. It wasn't too crowded. Couldn't see the ocean because of the marine layer. Next time I will do it on a clear day.

Probably really good if you are a trail runner or trying to get into shape. However, this trail is not for anyone looking to get put into the wilderness and enjoy a little Isolation. It felt a lot like Runyon Canyon just in Malibu.

Beautiful place to watch the sun set - also, now that the humidity is acting crazy, you can actually watch the waves of Marine Layer wafting in late in the evening.
