Fun treasure hunting with family and friends with scenic panorama view of Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo.

From Los Osos Valley Road, turn onto Prefumo Canyon Road. It's right across the street from Laguna Middle School. Follow this road all the way, as far as your adventurous spirit wants to go. It will eventually turn into Sea Canyon Rd and put you at the beginning of Avila Beach area.

For this specific adventure, geocaching, there are TONS of gems along this road. Prepare yourself for lots of tight turns, winding roads and great panorama views! You can learn more about geocaching by visiting the Geocaching website, as well as search for several caches for various hunting levels.

Park at the obvious dirt look out on the left, right after you make a tight turn. (this is if you're driving up and not heading back down the hills).
Description: Located among a rocky outcropping in the hills at the top of Prefumo Canyon Road.
Terrain: slight incline, but not bad at all.

Also, this place is a great area to come out and catch the sunset or even look up at the starry night sky. Cows are nearby. Watch your step for poop!

This short but intense hike on the north east side of San Luis Obispo, offers an amazing view of the town. This hike is roughly 3 miles with 1300 ft of elevation gain. Surf Shell Beach

Shell Beach is north of downtown Pismo Beach. This is a fun wave that works best during the fall and winter months. It's a beach break with both lefts and rights. The wave is rippable and is less popular than waves at the pier or at Morro Bay. However, the wave is much less consistent than the other 2 waves.
