Description

Added by Maya Daniels

A secret ranch. Nazi sympathizers. Acres of ruins and wreckage. What more do you want in a hike? ;-)

Murphy Ranch was built in the 1930s to serve as the West Coast base for the Nazi Invasion. The ranch was built deep in Rustic Canyon, and can be accessed either through the roads in the Palisades or through Will Rogers State Park. To get there via WRSP, follow the Inspiration Point trail up until you see a fork that leads steeply downhill into the eastern canyon. Follow this trail down to the creek, and then follow the creek downstream to find the ranch. You can also park in the neighborhood and walk along Sullivan Ridge Fire Road until you reach the gate. There are several cement staircases that lead down into the canyon.
